Meet-Me consists of a hybrid program of an ecology library and data center located on 6th and Hope Street in Downtown Los Angeles. Thomas and I designed a structure involving moments of twisting and peeling. By bringing together the library and data center, the project presents an opportunity for the design to negotiate between two energy demanding programs, test alternative typologies, and examine architectural outcomes that address the ecological impact the building has in an urban environment. Beekeeping is implemented within our design where beehives regulate the high temperatures produced by the data center.
